Jules Burke is a risograph printer, zine-maker, and educator whose practice sits at the intersection of DIY publishing, design, and community education.

Her work is deeply influenced by the history of zines within punk and DIY culture, embracing experimentation, accessibility, and self-expression as core values. Through print and design, Jules explores how handmade media can function as both a personal narrative and a collective tool.

Jules is also the creator of Astoria Zine Club, a hyperlocal group dedicated to celebrating the rich history of zines while empowering participants to make their own. In each workshop, she introduces the cultural roots of zine-making and guides attendees through the process of creating a one-page mini zine, emphasizing low-barrier creativity and shared learning.

Whether teaching, designing, or printing, Jules is committed to fostering spaces where curiosity, creativity, and community thrive.
